Echolocation is a remarkable process of communications that animals, such as bats, Whales,Porpoises, Rats and also Dolphins. This unique process is also a transmission of sound waves to locate objects.
Echolocation is also the ability to locate objects by bouncing sound waves off the walls and reflecting it back to them. It also helps them avoid obstacles in their path as they fly around in the dark. Bats are a fascinating group of animals. They are one of a few mammals that can use sound to navigate in the dark using a technique called echolocation.
For example, echolocation is just like echoes in a large-empty room or at the edge of a canyon. Echoes are sounds caused by the reflection of sound waves from a surface back to the listener. Or even a sound that has been duplicated after the original sound has stopped.
