"Where'd They Go?!!!!"
"Where'd They Go?!!!!"
By Vaifoa Lam Sam
I trudged towards the living room feeling the excitement rising up in my hungry little stomach. I could hear the birds chirping in the trees and I knew that this day was going to be a very good day. “Nothing could go wrong on the fourth day of school... right?”, I thought to myself being unsure.
“Where did they go?!!!!”, I yelled impatiently. I was really looking forward to this day because it was the day we had kiwi sport. I finally asked my siblings if they knew anything about it. Their answers were a straight no no! I could see the disappointment on my face as I glared onto the mirror.

I trudged towards the living room feeling the excitement rising up in my hungry little stomach. I could hear the birds chirping in the trees and I knew that this day was going to be a very good day. “Nothing could go wrong on the fourth day of school... right?”, I thought to myself being unsure.
My stomach was aching as I didn't get anything to eat. I swiftly walked into the kitchen and witnessed a bowl of delicious cereal sitting on the eating table. I was really in the mood for a lovely sultana bran. I quickly gobbled up my cereal as I checked the time. “Oh No!!!!”, I yelled as the time was 8:23 am. Seven more minutes till class started.
Then... I rushed into my room and rummaged through my wardrobe to find my uniform. I could see nothing except my collection of football boots and also bits of old paper just lying there. My nose started to twitch as it was really dusty in my wardrobe. I figured that my wardrobe would be needing very good clean after school.
“Where did they go?!!!!”, I yelled impatiently. I was really looking forward to this day because it was the day we had kiwi sport. I finally asked my siblings if they knew anything about it. Their answers were a straight no no! I could see the disappointment on my face as I glared onto the mirror.
After that... I went back into the living room and I witnessed my Mum just sitting on the soft and comfy couch reading the magazine about ‘How to look like a teenager- by Jenny Hamming ton’. I had a little bit of a giggle before I asked her... “Have you seen my uniform for school Mum?” She suddenly replied, “Uhm...yeah they’re in the washing machine” as she pointed to the garage. “But I'm going to be late...aww!!!”, I yelled disappointedly.
Finally, my uniform had came out from the washing machine but then Mum hung it up on the rusty old clothesline to dry it up. “I was obviously going to be late for school”, I thought to myself as I got my school gear and watched t.v for a while until my uniform was dried up. This was not what I had in mind of having a good day. I could sense the feeling that I was going to go straight to re-think because I had been late.
Throughout the overall experience, I realised that I had to wake up earlier and it was probably a lesson that I've learnt throughout the day.

Anzac Memorial Writing- World War 1
Every year on the 25th of April, there has always been an event called Anzac day. This year on Anzac day will be a very special day because it has been the 100th year since the first world war. This event is an honour to all the soldiers that fought for our lands and country. At the front of the Museum in Auckland there is a large stone that has names of soldiers and that stone is called a Cenotaph.
As I sat down near our little Anzac memorial, I pondered about all the soldiers who fought in the war and also thought about how it would of have felt to be fighting in the war. It must've been so hard and exhausting for the soldiers that were there. Many of them had sacrificed their lives for us and we shall appreciate them all. ‘Lest We Forget’
The only thing I could picture in my mind was a lot of gore, people dieing and guns firing throughout the battlefield. It is really hard to hear that one of your family members had past away during the war especially if they meant a lot to you. Many people were devastated as soon as they heard their sons or dads had passed on and they have a really peaceful home.

Zeal Zone- Symbol For Anzac Day
For remembrance day, we had to research symbols to commemorate the people who died throughout the war. This design is about peace and that dove represents it. I think that there shouldn't been a war and there should be peace in the world. Thank you very much for reading this and visiting my blog!

Holiday Recount Writing Mr Wiseman Litracy
One mild morning, sun shining bright through my bedroom curtains, making my eyes wound. Without hesitation, I carefully leaped out of bed and ran towards the bathroom to brush my teeth. I twisted the door knob and rushed into the bathroom sink.
Just then, I walked through the living room and to the kitchen. I swiftly grabbed the cup of milo and had a little zip. As soon as I had finished, I eventually went into my wardrobe and rummaged beneath some dirty old clothes until I found a bright red and dull black uniform.
Meanwhile after I settled on my uniform, I made my way for the car trying to beat all my siblings as I really wanted to sit in the front seat. “Off to the beach we go!”, I yelled as the engine of the car started to roam. With my back pushing against the soft comfortable chair,I pressed the “Play” button on the radio and listened to some music as the car drove along.
As the car pulled over to a nearby parking lot, I swiftly packed all of my swimming gear and our picnic too. I wandered over to the beach looking for a quiet and cooled area to sit at since the weather was 24°C. After a few minutes later...I finally found a place to sit and chill off for the school holidays. “Ahhh.....”, I yawned as the tide came rushing in towards my feet. It is time for picnic and my mother came in with the scrumptious yummy picnic. “That’s mine!!!!!!!! Gimmie”, everyone yelled as they grabbed a handful from each plate and bowl.
