Life Education Trust

On the first week of term 3, class 3 visited the Life Education Trust caravan and joined in with their exciting journeys of the human body. When we went into the caravan, a young lady named "Lynn" taught us some things that are happening in our bodies and influences. Today, we learnt about the percentage of alcohol there is in beer, wine and spirits. Beer has least percentage of alcohol in it. Wine has a bit more alcohol and Spirit has a lot of alcohol in it so you would have to drink the less of it.

Badminton Writing Week 4

On Thursdays class 3 went to badminton for kiwi sports. When we walked in the hall we glanced at our tutor. His name was Robbie. He introduced himself as we listened quietly. When Robbie finished he taught us some badminton tips and one of them was backhand grip. There were also a few rules. The rules were-No hitting each other with the racket, No fighting with it and Don’t play the racket like a guitar.

For our warm ups we sometimes play stuck in the mud,line tag or even just tiggy. It was exciting. As Robbie blew the whistle we sat back down in front of him. It was time to practise hitting the badminton shuttle. It wasn't that easy. I tried to get as many as I could. We had time for a little game so we battled against each other.

Science Road Show Recount

Last week Thursday 22nd may, we attended on a trip to the Science Road Show at Tamaki College. We went with two other classrooms because there were too many intermediate classes so the other two classes stayed at school until it was Friday. At the Science Road Show we discovered many experiments with balloons and many other science experiments. We participated in all of the science experiments(answering questions).

We learnt about our bodies and how they work. We also learnt a few gas experiments and it was called, Carbon Dioxide, Methane,Nitrogen and Hydrogen. Then we walked around the auditorium and we glanced at many experiments. It was AMAZING. I went to the honey experiment and tried out all of honey. They tasted yum. It was time to go back to school so we packed up.

THE SCIENTISTS ARRIVES

    (THE SCIENTISTS TRAVELS!!!)

One misty day, in a horrible weather there were 3 scientists. There names are Warwick, Le rick and Flerick. They  travelled on a plane from the U.K to the Antarctic, to observe how the temperature rises which causes the ice to melt and how it creates the sea level to rise.                                                                       HEADING TO ANTARCTICA

The 3 weird scientists were then now ready to head off to Antarctica but, they had also need to double check if they have the right gear. Off they went taking a long risk lifting all of their gear trying to get to the plane. Then the plane started its engine and speeded out Antarctica

                                                                                

                                                                          TO FOR THE FLIGHT

As the scientists were on the plane they will need they would fly about 85 kilometres an hour from the U.K to Antarctica. After a while the plane has now flown 9.82 metres from U.K and reached (73 feet) of the ground. The scientists could almost feel their hands and legs getting numb and their heads feeling dizzy after flying 9.82 metres.   

                                                                               LANDING

Shivering legs as the scientist arrived at the north bay at the bottom of the world. The scientists were very cold. Then they started rushing over to the science house and began to search things they need. THE END
