Netbook reflection

This year I am really excited having a Netbook to work on because I had alot of fun this year.

Another thing having a Netbook is that I can delete instead of rubering my hand could be saw.
There are many reasons why I am happy I like Netbooks.
Furthermore having a Netbook has meant that I love learning atother stuff about Netbooks.
Most definitely the best thing is doing maths whizz you could learn maths.
I never been at the right time at the right place I have to go. Some times I play games and do my work at the same time, but I still get my work done it is strange.

Problems on saturn

Problems on Saturn ha really large storms, and it is the second biggest planet in the solar system. Living on Saturn is not a good place to go, but it is the best planet to search on. One of the storms on Saturn has lasted 200 days a year.

Storms is really bad and you could die if you are in some planets that have huge storms. Maybe I should build a giant bucket to get water from Neptune but it will be really fast and bring it to Saturn or other kinds of planets.

I should build land and houses there so it is the better place to live when your on Saturn. Or should I build a oxygen and water machine.

Fixing the problem if you could bring a humongous fan that could blow all the storms on Saturn away. It will be to hot on Venus so I could use some water from Earth and build alot of water fountains so it can spray around and the heat will go away.

Making life easier we could grow plants and grass with trees. If I want a drink or food I can call to deliver drinks and water really fast and be on time as well.

Athletics

Stardome

“Ohh I don’t want to go up the hill. ” Too tired to walk up. Drink, drink I need to have some water. “Yay!” I made it up the top, I am still thirsty.Strolling at the bottom I was rolling down. Dangerously I fell. Does anyone have any water left?

King Kong and Slug

Stupid king Kong was knowingly embarrassing him self. Knowingly stupid king Kong embarrassed his family. Embarrassing himself knowingly, king Kong could not climb up the mountains. King Kong was so stupid that he was knowingly embarrassed.

The creepy slug unfortunately attempted to give people nightmares. Unfortunately creepy slug attempted to scare Iisa. Attempting to give Iisa a heart attack, the creepy slug unfortunately to ended up in preson.

Fire works

Coloured fire works ooooo!!! that’s awesome. Fire works are like rockets but they blow up when its on top of the sky, no fire works can zoom to the moon it dose’nt have that enough gas in it ether. They keep going fast they couldn’t stop there engines. Wooohoooo I was excited to see it flying in the air. They looked like comets too.

Ice cream comets

Room 13 made comets with ice cream cones crackers and sprinkles for the rocks.

“Quick quick I need a cone, it’s icy and cold. Ahhhhhh that's nice. Thank you Whaea Janeille.”
Whaea Janeille is our teacher that helps us to put the cone on our ice cream and she also got a tissue for our dirty hands.

Sprinkles, I like sprinkles they are colourful like a rainbow. Yucky and sticky, I am shaking from the cold.

Crunch crunch, crunch that was a delicious ice cream. “Can I have another one?” I shouted. But I did’t want it to put it my hands again.

Dusty rocks and gas were super nice and cold. They looked like realistic comets. I was licking my lips as I finished my comet.

It was a good day with cold ice cream comets. “Awesome’’ I was felting excited with the ice cream cone because it was yummy. Having left over sprinkles I was eating ice cream with alot of sprinkles on it as well. We spend our whole after noon eating ice cream too. My stomach was giggling like it was jelly in side it. The cone was delicious.

Out of this world

Awesome, we are learning about space !!! so cool

On Tuesday when school started we were at the hall and Mr Burt Introduce our topic for this term. Also Mr Burt told us about Maui ‘s great great great Grandma when they came to New Zealand where we live right now.

My favourite Item was team two their rap was a great rap and its lovely. It was so perfect that they danced In the front of us. Their rap was about space like the sun and other planets.

This year I want to learn more about astronauts and how they fly in space and they can put their plate stuck on them. The planet I liked Is the Sun and Earth. Alot of people always go out of this world to have fun and to learn more about space too.

Alien snot

Squishy, this alien snot is stinky and yuck. Room thirteen made alien snot on Monday.

Making alien snot is not that hard, we just put corn flour making it hard was water. Mixing was the part of it to and squshing. A little bit of green colored food in to it as well. yummy it looked like food but it was alien snot gggg!!!

Slimy and yucky I was picking it up with my hands it felt like jelly with green stuff on it. It was so looking slimy but hard.

All the gooey things went every where in the room, we needed to clean our hands in the tap but it still didn't went of my hands. Messythe class room is so green around.

Legs shaking as I nervously went in to the rocket I wished I could make it through. Countdown to ignition as lift off of my space shuttle begins.

Flying straight with alot of power, the rocket was shattering and shudder as it flew along. We left trails of smoke on the way. It a dangerous mission to go on a rocket with cracks.

We were just minutes from the moon. Flaming trails were bursting like balloons in the air. The rocket was reaching towards space in a hurry. We left the clouds far below us. Finally up space we saw many planets and the moon. Mission completed!

Thinking Hats

YELLOW HAT: I have enjoy AFL because it fun and cool. I cool because there are skills and allot of fun.

BLACK HAT: Also I didn’t enjoy doing writing because there are lots to spell and do.

WHITE HAT: I learned from the computer because it makes you learn better.

RED HAT: I feel fantastic of all the things I do in work.

GREEN HAT: What I found that more interesting is that my class is great.

BLUE HAT: I help my learning so I can learn more about it.

Trophy

I'm a champion at drawing on the computer. I am a champion because I have learnt art in every class I go to. It is great be an artist in schools.

Sonny Bill Williams

Bravely, Sonny Bill Williams picked up the ball and sprinted down the try line. Running from the end of the field Sonny Bill drop kicked to the opposite side. It was a hard day for him to play.

Warriors

Playing for the trophy, the Warriors were playing against the Sea Eagles. The warriors had super speed as they dived over the try line. They had a big desire to win it but they couldn’t do it however I will still support them.

The Sea Eagles were trying to go passed the defence but they couldn't make it to the try line. They still had more tries then the Warriors. Our Warriors are pretty fast. One of their players tackled and sidestep and passed it to their team mate to score a try.

The team were so nervous and did their best. They were so tired at half time they needed to rest to play the game.

It was game over for the Warriors, the Sea Eagles had won. Happy time for the Sea Eagles. Maybe next time the warriors will lift up the trophy.

Alfajorcitos

“Mmmmm smell the great and fantastic alfajorcitos’’.
Room 13 made alfajorcitos for a special treats. We all learnt to
make the delicious yummy treat from Argentina.
Miss King our teacher bought biscuits,a whole lot of coconut

to share with us. We smothered our biscuits and we squashed
our biscuits together then we roll it in to the beautiful coconut. 

Aussie Rules

`“Yes, we are playing Aussie rules today” Do you have AFL training every Thursday? Well room13 does. We have coaches that are really good at playing Aussie rules.

Blustery winds blew into our faces. I was frustrated with the weather was changeable. As we tried to play, the wind got stronger and stronger like a cyclone, we could barely begin.

When the wind was calm, we learnt some skills like a drop punt and bouncing the ball. These skills were to help us learn how to play Aussie rules. Our coaches were making sure that we were doing it properly. The sun came out just as it was time for a warm up called the jumper bumper.

Running and jogging we played kick baseball. The game got boring just as we had to switch over teams. When I caught the AFL ball I started to cheer up.The game got really fun and exciting from then on.

The day was a cool day. When the training was finished, we had learnt so much throughout the afternoon.

Black out day

It was with huge, excitement that I got my dressed for school today. It was Black Out Day. Black Out Day was to show our support for the All Blacks on the opening day of the Rugby World Cup.

Running down the footpath, I shouted "Stop", as I saw my friend. On my way to school, most people I saw were wearing black. Coins jingled in my pocket as I bounced about excitedly - I was going to buy a sausage for my lunch.

Arriving at school, I noticed, that even the teachers were wearing all black. Miss Tito and Miss Va’afusuaga even had black wigs on and also had painted faces. I love it when our whole school gets behind an idea.

At assembly, Mr Burt kept telling stories. They were about the times when he was at rugby game and he was not wearing his hat. Lots of yucky things would fall on his head and even end up in his car. I love Mr Burt’s stories, he is a great storyteller.

For fun, in our classroom we painted some All Black players. Each group found their smallest member and we traced around them. Next, we painted our players black so that they were wearing the All Blacks uniform. It was fun, I like painting.

After morning tea our classrooms all went to the courts to play some rugby games. The sun was shining and the sevens boys had set up some fun looking games. I was in team Russia.

Playing out on the field, the big boys taught us lots of rugby skills. Tackling, kicking and throwing were just some. My favourite game was the tackle bag obstacle course. I loved it because I got to knock Feki over!

Rugby World Cup - Where were you?

Rugby, I don’t care about rugby, We watched something else. Me and Sam went to the Takeaway shop. When we got our Fish & Chips we went home to eat it we went to sleep after that. We didn’t need the R.W.C. to have fun.

Jonah Lomu

When Jonah Lumo played rugby he played very well .Jonah Lumo is a very famous person he was the first global superstar in rugby.Jonah Lumo debuted for the all blacks in 1994 and he played 63 games for them they were proud of him.
When he had a kidney problem he had a nerve damage but he would not stop playing.
In 2007 he went to wales and hong kong .

Ma'a nonu

Ma’a Nonu dodged & sidestepped. With great skill he charged like a bull to the oppositions line. Running down the field, he dived for a try. Ma’a Nonu is a great All Black.

There were rules written in 1845 too.The man who invented the
football was William Webb Ellis.He ran down to the Opposition's goal they said what are you do-wing down there.In old day they were not allowed to run with the ball.
At rugby school they were allowed handling the ball but you are not allowed
to run with it.When William ran with the ball they begin to called the name rugby.

Jandales are a type of shoes you can wear at the beach when it’s hot. They are made from rubber and on top it has very cool pictures. In some countries they are called slippers and in Australia they call them flappers.



Buzzy Bee is the most famous toy in New Zealand many Buzzy Bees have been sold in many country’s in New Zealand. Nearly every child has a Buzzy Bee to play with in New Zealand.

Badminton

Last Thusday we meet Donna she helped us with badminton. We lerned to do under arm,backhand & also over head. Donna came from sport auckland she was very good at it. There were lots of shuttle & racquet to play and lern it. A shuttle is like a tenis ball but it has feathers also it light. When i hit it the shuttle went spining down.We had to be safe by the racquet because its made out of metal it could hit you if your trying to get your shuttle. Trick shooting underarm we tryed to keep our ballence so we could miss it. “Badminton so tricky to lern.’’



Donna told us badminton soccer we put two shuttle between us then we serve to the other side and then we play.When Donna blow the whistle then we all went to sit down where we were sitting before.We were htiting above our heads and hitting it straight.It was spectacular.

Healthy Diet

Children should eat a variety food to be healthy.Healthy food makes us learn better & strong.Fats and sugars are needed to be eaten everyday,but only a little bit.Kids must have 3 servings of vegetables,and 2 servings of fruit everyday as well.

In the night we should eat dinner so that we won’t eat during the night.Juice & fizzy should be left for treat.But the best drinks for kids is milk and water.

We should eat right that we could live right and have a healthy life.

Outside in the bay there is a box that is made out of concrete so that people can wash their legs.

Why we did it?

We made our diorama because heaps of people washes their leg on the water where we drink in. So that is why we decided to make something like this.

What does the diorama show?

The diorama shows a concrete box with strong
water that can wash every single foot that gets dirty and sticky.

I am Making Movies 2

We had a movie competition with some other schools at the Auckland museum. The presenters were Charlie from What Now and Robyn Malcom. The Pt England Kapa Haka group were fantastic. The best production Category winner was Pt England School. We all cheered when we won a camera We enjoyed watching lots & lots of amazing movies.

The best thing was the pride of Auckland group.We enjoyed the movies. Charlie was a great presenter. We had a fantastic time in the evening with Charlie and Robyn Malcom. When Charlie said the best production is Don’t Forget your Roots by Room 13 Kings. I was nervous. When we won Rocky said a speech for the people who helped.

The frighten chihuahua was scared because a "man shouted get out of the way''.It got scared so the chihuahua ran a way.

time machine

Wheels screeching as the Deloreon pulled out the drive way, Marty said “Hey Doc we better back up we don’t have enough road to get to 88”. He was confused. Jennifer was fearful and filled with anguish. ”Roads. Where we’re going we don’t need roads.’’ Doc replied, adjusting his glasses before he pressed the button. As doc clicked the zooming button, they all sped off with a burst of fire.

Meagan was a student from wake forest.There were 9 students from Wake Forest in Winston Salem that came to our school to learn about NZ education.
