My Dream Holiday

On the holiday at Saturday morning me and my cousins are going to wake up early to do some basketball training in our church hall. We started to team up with each other so we could play it. There were twelve people playing so we had to split into two groups of six and start to play.

The other team had to start and we had to defend their shots and try to keep in our positions. They passed it down the court and then I sprinted to the ball and then I dribbled the ball to the end to my
cousin to score. He threw it to me and then I scored.

Disadvantage Competition

During the afternoon on monday we had been practising to imitate having amputated limbs.

Our teacher Mr Marks gave us some tight bands
to wear on our left arm. As Mr Marks blew the whistle we ran to the yellow line and came back. After we were done I said to myself “that was really awkward running without our left hand”.

Next we had to do it without our hands tightly inside our bands and run all the way to the end of the court. That was really challenging to run with no hands it was strange. After that we used soft ball balls to throw as far we can go with an amputated arm.

My Weekends

Tandem Bike

At the paralympics Tandem Bike games there were two persons on it. The person in the front is called the pilot the pilot helps the person thats at the back because he is blind. The Tandem bike games is a really interesting game.

Paralympics

In the paralympics seated volleyball game the team was seat on a small court because they have amputated limbs. The teams that were playing is Brazil & China. While they are playing the game they had to drag themselves through the court and net. They were also sliding and slipping around the court. Some of them were defending the ball and trying to keep the ball inside the court. That was a close match.

Inspire A Generation

My poster design is about the London Olympics 2012. The first thing we had to do was

to go to the website called London 2012.com to look for some poster design so we can get ideas from it. Some looked really old but interesting and the title was Inspire a generation. Finally we had to sketch our posters well and we had to concentrate on it. We all done different designs but they all looked Amazing!!! My sport was water polo. But my favourite drawing was the London bridge and the england flag. Now it was time to dye our design and make it different colour’s. The colour’s looked amazing on it. Everyones drawing was cool. There were a lot of colours to pick.

CROSS COUNTRY

One sunny day Pt. England school had cross country. First we went to get change into our coloured shirts. Our house captain was Starford. We had to drink a lot of water and ate a little bit of food before we went to the start.

It was time to start running. I was really nervous. “On your marks get set GO”!!! said Mr Burt as we all started running. It was really muddy on the way. It was making me slow down but I started to sprint to the front past the bush, walked onto the bridge. As I was up to the muddy puddles I began to feel tired so I slow down for a minute and then began to sprint again. I started to see four people coming past me But I didn’t give up. I was jogging fast. I felt exhausted and lazy.


There were a lot of broken bridges all over the place it was dangerous. I was almost there as I heard the crowd shouting. I was happy. After all that I was huffing and puffing till the end. I was really proud of myself and really tired.


That was fun. It was Amazing!!! I felt really happy about it.
